The JPO and the State of Intellectual Property Office of the P.R. China (SIPO) agreed to further extend the trial period of the PPH pilot program another five years from November 1, 2018. That is, the term of the PPH pilot program with China has been extended to October 31, 2023.

Under the pilot program, it also is possible to file a PPH request based on PCT international work products.
