The Japan Patent Office (JPO) started the PPH pilot program with the National Institute of Industrial Property of Brazil (INPI) and the Instituto Nacional de Propriedade Industrial (INPI, Argentina) as of April 1, 2017.
The JPO and the National Institute of Industrial Property of Brazil (INPI) agreed to start the PPH pilot program from April 1, 2017. Argentina also agreed last year to start the PPH pilot program from April 1, 2017. This agreement will enable IP users to acquire patent rights in Brazil and Argentina in an accelerated manner.
