Mr. Onda joined ONDA TECHNO in 1994. He is a graduate of Chuo University (L.B. Law) and the University of Central Florida (B.S. Electrical Engineering). He was admitted to the Japan Patent Attorneys Association in 1994. His experience includes the preparation and prosecution of electrical and mechanical patent applications. Representative technical matters he has handled include semiconductors, image processing and software-related inventions. He is a member of AIPPI, APAA, INTA and LES. He has been a member of the board of the Japan branch of APAA since 2005. He was Vice-chairman for Committee of Computer Software (2001 and 2002), IP International Activity Center (Director in 2005, 2006 and 2007), Committee for IP matters in Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries of Japan (Vice-chairman in 2008 and 2009, Chairman in 2010) for Japan Patent Attorneys Association. He was a Committee member for investigating the circumstances for administrative, criminal and civil remedies for design right infringement in foreign countries (2007) for AIPPI JAPAN. His publications include “Basics and Practice of the Business Model Patents” and “Patents and Law for IT Professionals”.He obtained the Additional IP Litigation Qualification.
