Mr. Hirota is the president of Hirota Patent Attorney Firm and joined ONDA TECHNO as an adviser through a business alliance with ONDA TECHNO in October 2023.

He is a 1989 graduate of University of Yamanashi (Department of Fermentation Production, Faculty of Engineering), and was admitted to the Japan Patent Attorneys Association in 1995.
He specializes in inventions related to biochemistry, pharmaceuticals, biology, and chemistry.

Mr. Hirota was a Japan Patent Attorneys Association Board of Council Member (2000-2001) and has frequently lectured for their Patent Prosecution Seminar on the topic of inventions in the field of chemistry (2004-2022).

He is also active as a university lecturer at such schools as the Graduate School of Kitasato University (2005-present) and Saitama Medical University (2023-present).

Standouts from his numerous publications include the annual “Yearbook of Chemical and Bio Intellectual Property Cases” from 2012 to the present, and “Court Interpretation of Patent Laws for Practitioners.”
