Mr. Furrer joined ONDA TECHNO in 2002 after working as an intellectual property attorney for ten years, the last three years of which were spent working in Tokyo, Japan for the firm of Taiyo, Nakajima & Kato. After graduating from the University of San Diego School of Law in 1992 in California, he relocated to the state of Washington, where he begin practicing intellectual property law for the firm of Christensen, O'Connor, Johnson & Kindness. In 1996 he joined the firm of Furrer & Tezak, formerly the Zackery Legal Group, before coming to Tokyo in 1999. He has a bachelor of science in aerospace engineering from Texas A&M University and worked for approximately five years in the aerospace industry, primarily in the field of software engineering, before beginning law school. He has a wide range of experience in the field of intellectual property law, including patents, trademarks and copyrights, and in different technology areas. Mr. Furrer was admitted to practice before the US Patent and Trademark Office in 1994 and to the Washington State Bar in 1992.
Mr. Bergere rejoined ONDA TECHNO in 2009, after working as a patent attorney for a multinational corporation from 2000-2009.
Mr. Bergere was responsible for patent matters in the Asia-Pacific region, witch covered design centers in China, Hong Kong, India, Japan, Malaysia, Singapore and Taiwan. Mr. Bergere first worked for ONDA TECHNO from 1997-2000. Prior to moving to Japan, he worked as a patent attorney at a patent firm in Philadelphia, PA. Mr. Bergere has a BSEE from the University of Notre Dame and a JD from Temple University Law School. He is a member of the PA and NJ bars, and registered to practice before the USPTO and the Intellectual Property Office of Singapore (IPOS). Mr. Bergere was a founding member of the Association of Singapore Patent Attorneys (ASPA). Mr. Bergere also worked as a circuit design engineer for 9 years.
